3 dark wood Nins in 3 warm colours

Recommended age: +12 months

Three beautifully simple Grapat Nins in dark timber and warm colours (yellow, orange and red).

“Nins” means “children” in Spanish.  These 3 simple peg dolls are made with love and sustainable materials and form the basis of so many aspects of play, from imaginative and small world play, to story-telling, and to learning through play in counting and sorting.  Their simple and unstructured form allow children to imagine the expression, gender and roles supporting their own emotional development and understanding of the world and people around them.

Grapat Toys is a small family run business in the beautiful region of Catalonia in northern Spain, the passion Casiana and Jord.  Made with the greatest love, care and attention to detail, Grapat toys are known for their loose parts which to encourage children to play and discover freely using their own imagination.  Inspired by Waldorf principles, Grapat toys reflect the beauty of the earth and are made from locally-sourced sustainable timbers and finished with water-based dyes.

      Lovely grapat product

They seems a little darker in person compared to the bright studio product lighting. A nice variation to rainbow shades to use in natural play schemes. I expect it could show less wear/tear and colour transfer too.
